Getting started
Is the free plugin really free?
Yes. Unlimited services, staff and bookings, Stripe deposits, emails and customer self-service are all in the free plugin on WordPress.org, with no time limit and no booking caps.
What do I need to start?
A WordPress site (6.4 or newer, PHP 7.4 or newer). For online payments, a Stripe account and HTTPS.
Does it work with my page builder?
It is shortcode-only, so it works in the block editor, Elementor, Divi, Beaver Builder, WPBakery and classic themes. You can place several booking forms on one page.
Can customers book without an account?
Yes. Customers book as guests and manage the booking through the private link in their email.
Which languages does it support?
Calendrax is translation-ready. Dates follow your WordPress language and time format, and every email can be edited.
Payments
Where does the money go?
Straight to your own Stripe account, then to your bank on Stripe’s payout schedule.
Do you take a commission?
No, never. Stripe charges its standard processing fee.
Which payment methods can customers use?
Whatever your Stripe Checkout offers in your country: cards, Apple Pay, Google Pay and, where enabled, local methods.
What if a customer leaves the payment page?
The time is held while they pay and then released automatically. No booking is confirmed without a payment that Stripe has verified.
Can I take the rest of the payment later?
Yes. Record the balance as paid at the appointment, or send the balance reminder email with the manage link.
Pro
What does Pro cost?
$49 once for one website, including 12 months of updates and email support, with a 14-day money-back guarantee. There is no subscription.
Do I lose anything if Pro expires or I remove it?
No data is ever deleted. Without a valid license, Pro’s extra screens switch off; all bookings, locations and settings stay in your database.
Does the AI assistant cost extra?
Not from us. It uses your own Google Gemini API key, and Google bills you for usage. Google also offers a limited free tier; check current pricing on Google’s site.
How does the phone agent work, and what does it cost?
It runs on your own Vapi account: paste your Vapi key in Calendrax and press one button. Vapi bills you per minute of calls; we add nothing. It answers questions and books, moves and cancels appointments with your real availability, and never takes card details by phone. Visitors can also talk to it from your website. Read the voice agent guide.
Can the AI book or charge on its own?
No. It finds real free times and prepares the booking; the visitor presses Confirm and pays on the normal Stripe page.
Can I use one license on a test site too?
Yes. Local and staging addresses (localhost, *.local, *.test, staging.* and dev.*) do not count towards the one-site limit.
Privacy
Is it GDPR friendly?
Bookings stay on your server, WordPress’s export and erase tools include Calendrax data, you can remove personal details after a set period, and the plugin suggests privacy-policy text. You remain the controller of your customers’ data.
What does Exceat Lab receive?
For Pro: your license key, site address and plugin version. During Stripe connection, your Stripe account ID and site address. Never your customers’ details. See the privacy notice.
